English text
Zeph. 3:14 Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.
Is.9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
The light hath shined upon us.
Blessed Babe! the straw is spread,
Coldly for Thy infant bed;
Glory shines about Thy head.
Blessed Babe! the full inn's door
Lets not in the maiden poor,
Angels seek the stable floor.
Blessed Babe! Thy life must be
Spent in toil and misery,
End upon the shameful Tree.
Clad in our humility,
God from all eternity,
Blessed Babe! we worship Thee.
