"Publication series and anthologies" section

I think this should only contain publications that were in a series, because they are difficult to find in the list above otherwise. Antonio Gardano published a lot of anthologies, so I propose to remove other publications from this section if they appear above. (There will be a lot of other publications on the list by year, I am currently only about 10% done.) — Barry Johnston (talk) 21:33, 26 November 2022 (UTC)

That makes sense. Part of me feels like the anthologies deserve to be distinguished from the single-composer volumes somehow, but I'm not sure that's objectively true. On another note, the complete lists do make these publisher pages quite long, especially when including reprints and subsequent editions. Do they deserve their own pages, with a link from the Publisher page? - GeoffG (talk) 23:36, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
A separate list for the anthologies sounds good. Actually, I mostly spent a lot of time compiling these pages because I wanted people to better see where the gaps are. The Gardanos aren't the only 16th-early 17th-century publishers, yet with all the effort put into this over the years by CPDL editors, it is interesting how many gaps there are. There are still a lot of publication pages yet to be created, and even more to be properly indexed and linked – yet I am sure there are many more publications than appear in these lists at present. I suspect these pages aren't visited very often, but the editors who come here are more likely to be interested in the gaps, and I hope be challenged to fill them. Thanks. — Barry Johnston (talk) 04:16, 3 December 2022 (UTC)
