Because Mateu Fletxa el Vell was catalan (born in Prades, Catalonia, 1485, died in Poblet, Catalonia, 1553), the most correct form of his name have to be in catalan, his mother tongue. This is: Mateu Fletxa el Vell (so Mateu Flecha the Old or the Oldest). So, seems logical to change the article from Mateo (El Viejo) Flecha (very strange!) to Mateu Fletxa (el Vell), and in aliases: "Matteo Flecha" (in italian?), "Mateo Flecha el Joven" (in modern spanish).

Are you agree with the change?
:I agree with Carles that a renaming is necessary here. Someone already moved the text between brackets (El Viejo) from the middle of his name to the end, but I feel it's not enough. My first option would be to eliminate "El Viejo", since he was the eldest and the most famous of the two Flechas, so his name could be simply "Mateo Flecha" as is in Wikipedia, while the younger would be "Mateo Flecha the Younger" (without brackets here, too, just like Clemens non Papa = Clemens not the Pope).

:A second doubt I have is about what language to use here: his mother tongue Català "Mateu Fletxa el Vell"? Or modern Spanish "Mateo Flecha el Viejo", or the way he is known in English, "Mateo Flecha the Elder"? I would stick to the first and third options.
:After reaching a consensus, I intend do to an extensive renaming of all composer and work pages for both the Elder and the Younger Flechas. -- Carlos<small>Talk</small> 14:23, 31 May 2008 (PDT)

I agree with Carles that a renaming is necessary here.
A second doubt I have is about what language to use here: his mother tongue Català "Mateu Fletxa el Vell"? Or modern Spanish "Mateo Flecha el Viejo", or the way he is known in English, "Mateo Flecha the Elder"? I would stick to the first and third options.
After reaching a consensus, I intend do to an extensive renaming of all composer and work pages for both the Elder and the Younger Flechas. -- CarlosTalk 14:23, 31 May 2008 (PDT)
