Is there a way to add a subpage to a link? I tried {{LnkWeb|BachBWV130.htm}} expecting the first 4 characters to substitute http://www.bach-cantatas.com/ but got an error message. The full [http://www.bach-cantatas.com/BWVnnn.htm Page on Bach-cantatas website] has the annoyance of a required demonstration of simple math skills… Richard Mix (talk) 05:06, 18 April 2017 (UTC)

The substitution is possible using another template: Template:Website. So [{{Website|Bach}}BWV4.htm Cantata 4] is what you are looking for, I guess. Claude (talk) 06:46, 18 April 2017 (UTC)

As specified in the documentation, the complement has to be informed in the second paramenter of the template: {{LnkWeb|Bach|BWV130.htm}} displays    (  )

But this template is now deprecated, it was used only inside Composer pages, before edition icons were suppressed. —Carlos (talk) 13:05, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
