« Ils sentent douceur toute telle
Mais elle passe comme vent. »
Je m’esbahis donc, dit la belle
Qu’ils n’y retournent plus souvent.

English.png English translation

There once was a pretty young bride
Who was having a chat one day
With a crone not quite as wide-eyed
And asked, Lady, what do you say,
Do men get as carried away
When they do you-know, and do men
Feel the same thrill as we women?
“Why of course they do!” said the crone
“In that delight we aren’t alone.
But it’s gone for them in a trice.”
“Then I’m stunned,” said the bride, quite thrown,
“That they do not try at least twice.”
