Italian.png Italian text

Voi volete ch’io muoia,
E mi date dolor sì crudo e forte
Che mi conduce a morte;
Ma per vederne voi così contenta,
Mentre io muoio (moro), il morir vita diventa;
Di che (Onde) vedendo, ohimè! dolente voi,
Da (Di, In) questa vita poi
Mi vien tanto martire,
Ch’io pur (Ch’ogn’ hor) giungo al morire;
E così mille e mille volte il (al) giorno
Per voi moro, e morendo in vita torno.

German.png German text

Ihr wollt, dass ich sterbe,
und ihr fügt mir solch grausamen und harten Schmerz zu,
der mich zum Tode führt;
aber da ich euch darüber so zufrieden sehe,
während ich ich sterbe, wird das Sterben zum Leben;
dadurch, dass ich, ach, euch leiden sehe,
erlebe ich in diesem Leben daher
solche Pein,
dass ich stets fast sterbe,
und so abertausendMale am Tag
sterbe ich für euch, und sterbend kehr ich ins Leben zurück

English.png English text

You wish that I die,
and you give me such cruel and hard pain
which leads me to death;
but by seeing you so content about it,
while I die, dying becomes life for me;
by seeing you, alas, suffering,
in this life then
I feel so much pain,
that I nearly die,
and thus thousands of times a day
I die for you, and dying I return to life.
