Welsh text
Dyn ŵyf fi a roes ei fryd argael ei fyd yn llawen,
Ac y rŵan ‘rwyn dwyn dig am blethu brig celyn nen.
Er Gŵyl Ifan fe ddaeth haint I dorri braint y fed wen.
Mi a ddeliais am fy march mai gwell fydd parch gelynnen,
Ynn a derw, helyg, drain a chyda rhain y wernen,
Cyll ac efyll, aethwydd llwy’, Ifi, bae a bocs ac yw,
Ac ‘wyllys Duw sydd amgen.
Dyma’r cwmpeini glân I gyd a gâr y glud gelynnen.
Galle ŵr drwy syn nwyr serch leidio merch esgeirwen,
A’i chusannu hi dan y wyrdd gelynnen.
Lawer pry dydd dedwydd daith
Heb wneuthur gwaith ond darllen cerdd
Pan ddêl rhew ag eira mawr I blagio llawr y fed wen
Cewch chi weled ym mhob plas fraint I’r lás, lás gelynnen,
Ac oni cheffir eos o’r llwyn, Mi a ga’r fwyn fwyalchen
Gyda mi dydd a nôs,
Ac o daw gofyn pwy a wnaeth hyn, dyn ni fyn dim ab sen
Ond rhoi’i fendith gan bob awr a garo’n fawr gelynnen!
