Give us hope at morning-tide
When the night is gone,
Let thy sunshine be our guide,
Lead us safely on;
Though our road be rough and long,
Lonely each vale and hill,
Give our lips a golden song,
Father, bless us still.

Give us peace at set of sun,
Starry skies above,
All our tears and sorrow done,
Fold us with thy love.
So when life’s dark day has passed,
This our prayer shall be,
Call us to our rest at last,
Father, home to thee.
