Editor: Andreas Stenberg (submitted 2020-06-11).   Score information: A4, 6 pages, 110 kB   Copyright: CPDL
Edition notes: this is a semi-diplomatic edition based on the Simone Veronis print: L'Odi della Musica à 3 voci ... Libro Primo, Roma 1596. The Print gives the parts of the voices, an intavolation for harpsichord and an intavolation for Lute in Italian tablature. This edition of the Canzonetta gives the voices in score, and the Harpsichord and Lute intavolations. The Lute intavolation is given both in the Italian tablature and in a transcription to French tablature. When performing with the common Lute in G the voices must transpose down a perfect fifth. A raw transcript of the lute intavolation may be had by downloading the Lilypond source-file, Commenting in the appropriate commands and running it through Lilypond. Rehearsal midis of the voices may be got in the same way.

All' hor che di bei fiori,
di vaghi color misti adorna'il manto,
Flora gentil spiega suoi novi ardori
in dolcissimo Canto
ogn' angelletto in mill' e mille chori.
