Italian text Amor tu che congiungi Con lieti e cari nodi E dolcemente pungi Con maestrevol modi Gli accesi cor de fortunati Amanti, Deh, poi che tu sol opri opre cotanti, Lega, fiedi, congiungi il cor altiero Al mio del mio bel Sol d’ugual pensiero.

German translation Amor, du, der du verknüpfst mit frohen und liebreichen Knoten und sanft stichst auf meisterliche Weise die entflammten Herzen der glücklichen Liebenden, ach, da nur du so große Werke vollbringst, verbinde, verwunde, verknüpfe mit meinem das stolze Herz meiner schönen Sonne durch einen gleichen Gedanken.
