Italian text Ancor che la partita Sia la sola cagion di dolor miei, Partir sempre vorrei Poi ch'al ritorno tal dolcezz'io sento, Che avanzo col piacer ogni tormento.

German translation Sei auch der Abschied die einzige Ursache meiner Schmerzen, scheiden will ich doch immer noch, weil bei der Rückkehr ich solche Lust empfinde, dass ich mit Freude jeglichen Schmerz erdulde. Translation by Gerhard Weydt
