Description: This sumptuous Easter Day motet was latterly used at the celebrations for Holy Roman Emperor Matthias II's 60th birthday, 1617. Instruments should be used to reinforce the voices, particularly the lower bass parts. Twenty three is an unusual number of parts: it is possible that a numerological reference is being made to the exclusion of Judas from the disciples (12:11)
