Italian text Ardi e gela a tua voglia, perfido ed impudico, or amante, or nemico: ché d'incostante ingegno poco stimo l'amore e men lo sdegno; e se l'amor fu vano, van fia lo sdegno del tuo cor insano.

English translation Burn and freeze as you wish, treacherous and shameless one, now lover, now enemy: because of your fickle mind I value your love little, and your scorn less; and if you love was in vain, then vain be the scorn of your deranged heart. Translation by Allen Garvin
