German text
Auβ guetem Grund,
vom mund
ich sing und sag,
das kain Mensch mag
ir höfflich Zucht beschreyben
man mueβ sy lassen pleyben
ain Zier der schenen Weiben.
Nit hie allain,
ich mayn,
wird sie gepreyβt
ir guet beweyβt,
dan sie kan Lob erjagen,
der gleich bei meinen tagen
vor nie hab hören sagen.
Nacht Tag und Zeit,
so weit
ich immer kan,
on abelan
sol ir das Lob beschehen.
von wem sie wird gesehen,
der mueβ ir guetz verjehen.
English translation
With good reason I sing - and say - that no one can describe her courtly manner: among beautiful women, she is unquestionably a gem.
Not only here is she praised and celebrated: in all my days I have never heard anyone else so lauded.
Day and night, as best I can, I will unceasingly praise her. Anyone who sees her must speak well of her.
