Italian.png Italian text

Basciami vita mia, bascia m’anchora
ch’el finir di basciar cosi m’accora,
che senza basci me l’anima volta.

Basciami mille volte, mill’anchora

Translation by Gerhard Weydt
English.png English translation

Kiss me, my life, kiss me again,
don't be displeased to kiss me another time,
because ending the kissing will aggrieve me so much,
that without kisses my soul will fade away.

Kiss me a thousand times, a thousand more,
and then kiss, that whoever hears us
won't be able to count our kisses.
What is it, my sweet darling, that you don't kiss me?

Translation by Gerhard Weydt
