On April 16th, the number of score pages at CPDL reached and passed 20,000. Although it took a little over 11 years to reach the first 10,000 score pages mark in 2009, the 20,000 mark was reached in just over 6 additional years, reflecting a much greater active participation by those editing and submitting previously unavailable scores to CPDL; additionally, the number of contributors/editors of scores has more than doubled in those 6 years. Works by more than 2550 composers are available from CPDL, up from 1439 composers when the number of score pages stood at 10,000.

Currently, we are more than 10% ahead of this year's goal of 2000 new score pages and should reach the 21,000 score page mark well before the end of the year. Some 68% of our scores are of sacred music, and 32% are of secular music.

Distribution of score pages by musical era:

3% Medieval music
4% Early 20th century music
8% Classical music
11% Baroque music
15% Romantic music
16% Modern music
41% Renaissance music

Many thanks to our editors, contributors and users for making CPDL the essential resource for choral music that it has become.
