English translation Consumed with grief I go from bank to bank, pensive by day, and then I weep at night; no state have I, but phases, like the moon. As soon as I see twilight fall at eventide, my breast will sigh deep sighs, my eyes pour out their waves, the grasses to bedew and overwhelm the woods. Translated by Frederic J. Jones
