Gott, der du selber bist das Licht,
dass Gütt und Treue stirbet nicht,
dir sei jetzt Lob gesungen;
nechdem durch deine grosse Macht
der helle Tag die finstre Nacht
so kräfttig hat verdrungen,
und deine Gnad und Wundertat
mich, da ich schlief, erhalten hat.

Dios, Tú que eres Luz misma,
cuya bondad y fidelidad no mueren en absoluto,
que se canten aquí Tus alabanzas;
después que, por Tu gran poderm
