Heu quantus dolor et turbatis anxia cura
 mentibus est tacitas, occuluisse faces!
Mors optanda magis quod si sua funera passis,
 nullus ab occulto restat amore dolor.

Alas, how great the anguish and how many the distressing hardships
suffered by troubled minds when love, afflicting them, remains concealed, unspoken!
Death is all the more ardently to be desired since, for those whose mortal life is done,
no pain from secret love remains.
