Description: The original title reads: In obitum Filii autoris charissimi [or 'dilectissimi' or 'desideratissimi' in other partbooks] (at the death of the author's beloved son). Franck lost his wife and two children in the 30 year war. His son Valentin died in 1625. For the death of his daughter Margaretha in 1633 he wrote the motet Ist Gott für mich.

26 Vnd werde darnach mit dieser meiner haut vmbgeben werden /
vnd werde in meinem fleisch Gott sehen.

vnd meine augen werden jn schawen /
vnd kein frembder.
