s'aproche la vespree

Je me plains de mon ami
qui avait coûtume de venir me voir la fraîche matinée,
or il est prime et c'est midi,
et si n'ai nouvelle de lui,
s'approche la soirée,
la tricoton, la tricotée.

English translation

I shall complain about my friend
who usually came to see me a cock's crow.
But now it is prime, and soon it will be noon,
