Died: 17 August 1750 in Amesbury, Massachusetts
Biography
"American pastor, composer and sacred song book compiler. Graduate of Harvard University, 1708. Pastor of First Church, Newbury, Massachusetts, 1714-1738. Retired from the ministry in 1738, moved to Amesbury, Mass., and was a shopkeeper there until his death" (Lowens 1954).
