Biography
Eminent Musician and Composer, John Wiegand, Sr. was Born in Homberg, Germany and emigrated to the U.S. at age 18. He was a violinist with the New York Symphony Orchestra as well as a teacher, composer and along his brother, George, operated a music store in Augusta, Georgia. In 1898, he moved to Savannah.
