An dir isch's unbegriffene Wunder gscheh : Üs dir wird jung e Làbe n üfersteh Ass wie im Stupfle vo dàm Weise do. Un witer wird das läufe so dur d'Gschlàchter, Dur alli Zit, das ewige heilige Làbe : E Trutz im Tod ! E Glàchter üf dr Tod ! E Trutz de Chilchhef un e Trutz de Gräber ! Dü schwangeri Fräu, wu de dur's Chornfall läufsch, Dü bisch e Chelch vo aller Ewigkeit !

French translation Toi la femme enceinte, quand tu marches à travers le champ de blé, Tu es toi-même bénie comme le champ. En toi s'est produit le miracle incompréhensible: De toi surgira une jeune vie Ainsi que de la chaume de ce blé. Et il en sera ainsi chez toutes les espèces, De tous temps, l'éternelle et sainte vie: Un affront à la mort! Une bravade à la mort! Un affront aux cimetières et un affront aux tombes ! Toi la femme enceinte, quand tu marches à travers le champ de blé, Tu es un calice de toute éternité!
