Meraviglia d’amore,
qual vera aquila suole,
mi vagheggio il mio sole.
Sole che, a mille a mille,
sparge di sua beltà raggi e faville.

Et ardo e vivo, dolce aura gradita,
l’ardor mi tempra e mi mantiene in vita:
sì che arda pur il sol ma spiri l’aura;
che se mi strugge l’un, l’altra ristaura.
