Biography
Moritz “Maurice” Moszkowski was born in Breslau, Prussia, (Wrocław, Poland), of Polish-Jewish descent, and became a composer, pianist, and teacher in Germany. He taught at the conservatory in Berlin and later, taught in Paris. He was well-recognized for his compositions for piano.
