Latin text O Maria templum Dei, firmamentum mei spei, pietatis femina, audi preces huius rei, labem purga cordis mei, dilue peccamina. Mundum ornas novo flore, prolem gignis miro more, virgo manens cum pudore novi floris gratia.

English translation O Mary, temple of God, mainstay of my hope, fount of female compassion, hear the prayers of this wicked person, cleanse the fault within my bosom, wash away (my) sins. You adorn the world with a new flower, giving birth to a son in an amazing way, while remaining a chaste virgin, for the sake of the new flower. Translation by Mick Swithinbank
