Edition notes: Transcribed from the 1934 edition by J. Fischer and Co., published under the pseudonym Cyr de Brant. (No copyright renewal has been found.) The original edition presented the SAATBB refrain first and offered the SATB refrain as an alternative. This edition swaps the two versions.

A refrain is sung after each pair of stanzas. The refrain is presented in two versions, SATB and SAATBB. The accompanying English translation is by Rev. E. Caswall.
