Biography Ottaviano Scotto was a Milanese publisher who ran the Scotto family publishing business in Venice during the 1530s. Nephew to the firm's founder, also named Ottaviano Scotto, Ottaviano II started publishing books under his own name in 1532, and continued until 1539, when he passed control to his younger brother Girolamo.
