Description: Guerrero wrote this madrigal when he was young, with the text “Prado Verde y Florido”, but he did not publish it (nor his other secular pieces). During his last years, his pupils convinced him to edit these pieces. He accepted, but adding a religious text (“a lo divino”), and Pan divino y gracioso appeared (with other contrafacta) in Canciones y villanescas espirituales, Venice, 1589
Guerrero escribió esta obra en su juventud con el texto “Prado Verde y Florido”, aunque no la publicó, como ocurrió con el resto de su obra profana. Al final de sus días, sus discípulos le convencieron de que las editara. Lo hizo, aunque componiéndolas también “a lo divino”, es decir, añadiendo un texto religioso (“Pan divino, gracioso” en este caso). Aparecieron en la obra “Canciones y Villanescas espirituales”, Venecia 1589
