Queldryk

Life

Floreat: c. 1400

Biography English composer. He may have been associated with an estate of Fountains Abbey of this name (Wheldrake, near York). He may possibly be identifiable with a Richard Queldryk who was named as the donor of a book ‘cum cantico Venite’ in a Lichfield Cathedral inventory of 1450/51. His name is attached to a Gloria and Credo, both isorhythmic, in the Old Hall Manuscript.
