Roses of morn are waking
Out in the garden fair,
Sweet with the dews of nighttime,
Kiss'd by each scented air;

Down ev'ry sunny pathway
Smiling in bed and bow'r,
Roses once more I welcome,
Crowning this summer hour.

Roses white,
Blooming for my heart's delight,
Roses here,
Roses, roses, roses ev'rywhere!

Love is a summer garden,
Sweeter than this, I know,
Where life's divinest blossoms
Tender and beauteous grow;

And tho' the roses wither,
'Tis not, we dream in vain,
There is a fairer garden,
Where they shall bloom again.
