Scendi dal paradiso,
venere, e teco guida
i pargoletti Amor, le gratie e'l riso,
oltre l'usato rida
in vista 'l ciel sereno,
il Tebro al mar Thirreno,
porti di perle adorno
invece d'acque il corno.
E i nostri canti giungano alle stelle,
poi ché l'anime belle
d'Amarilli e di Tirsi sono unite.
al nodo sacro e santo,
come a l'Olmo la vite,
o come al tronco l'edera o l'acanto.
