Grove gives 1622-23 and RISM 1622 1623, but Elam Rotem gives the explanation that Hashirim asher leSholomo actually bears the date 5383, that is the year beginning with Rosh Hashana September 5 1622. In the absence of a known month, I think we ought to defer to his 1622. Richard Mix (talk) 23:32, 6 February 2022 (UTC)
- So, one among four months of 1622, rather than among eight months of 1623. If you persist to choose the shortest probability, feel free to implement modifications yourself ;-) Claude T (talk) 08:30, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
- My point is simply that Elam might not need 'correcting' since he probably knows a lot more than either of us. Richard Mix (talk) 23:20, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
- The newly appeared Salamone Rossi’s Synagogue Motets: The 400th Anniversary by Joshua Jacobson gives Oct. 5 1622. Richard Mix (talk) 21:42, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
