I disagree with merging The God of love my Shepherd is, since the effect is to lose George Herbert's words. It is sufficient the note the reuse of the tune, I feel. For the same reason, I would oppose merging My country, 'tis of thee with God save the Queen, simply because the tune has been reused!

Technically speaking, I think it's a contrafactum, so I've recategorised it as such.Jamesgibb (talk) 19:10, 12 June 2016 (UTC)
