Template talk:TOC2

?

I'm seeing 目录 on the Heinrich Isaac page, more elegant as well as more compact than "TOC" I'll grant, but it did make me wonder why there's no Template:TOC1 ;-) Richard Mix (talk) 19:42, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

Sounds like a browser (esp. encoding) issue. "TOC[1]" is the default given by MediaWiki, apparently when the page has more than a certain number of headings (4?), as in the MAGICWORDS __TOC__ and __NOTOC__. Ah, that clears up part of my confusion. 目录 is a correct translation, as far as I can tell, and the Isaac page template now again reads "Contents", for whatever reason. And, after all this talk about rising is done, a happy Monday sleep-in to you! ;-) Richard Mix (talk) 04:46, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
