Ung jour que madame dormoit,
Monsieur branloit sa chamberiere.
Et elle qui la dance aymait,
Remuoit fort bien le derriere,
Enfin la garse toute fiere,
Luy dict : Monsieur, par vostre foy,
Qui le faict mieulx, madame, ou moy ?
Toy, dist il, ou je soy mauldict.
Saint Jehan, dist elle, je le croy,
Car tout le monde le me dict.

English.png English translation

One day when Madame was snoozing
The Master was jigging the chambermaid.
She, finding the dance amusing,
Shook her rear end so fiercely the house swayed,
Afterward, the wench, her pride well displayed,
To him said: Master, truthful be,
Who does it best, Madame or me?
Why you, said he, or I’m a prat
Saint John, I believe it, cried she,
Because all the men tell me that.
