Biography
William Beale was born in Landrake, Cornwall, England, and was a chorister at Westminster Abbey. He served in the Navy, worked for the Post Office, then pursued music. He was a member of the Royal Society of Musicians and gentleman of the Chapel Royal. He served as organist at Trinity College, Cambridge; Wandsworth Parish Church; and St. John’s, Clapham Rise. He won awards for a number of his glees and madrigals.
