French text A Dieu celle qui t'ay servi à mon pouvoir tout mon vivant, à qui je m'estois asservi plus que nul autre par avant, à vous comme humble servant, du tout m'estoit abandonné, si j'ay mal faict en vous servant, pour Dieu, qu'il me soit pardonné.

English translation Farewell she whom I served as best I could, all my life, to whom I was devoted more than to any other before, to you, as your humble servant, forgoing all else, should I have done wrong by serving you, by God, may I be excused. Translation by Michael Nick
