Life
Born: 2 March 1768, Springfield, Massachusetts
Died: 19 February 1835, Northfield, Ohio
Biography Amzi Chapin was a cabinet maker, music teacher, and composer; teaching music in Virginia, North Carolina, and Kentucky from 1791. He settled in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, in 1800, and remained there until 1831.
