Bevor ihr Gott eßt
in dieser heiligen Speise,
Seele, wird es gut sein, zu bedenken,
wer Gott ist und wer ihr seid.

Bevor ihr in eurer Herberge
den König des Himmels empfangt,
lebt, Seele, mit Ängstlichkeit,
ob ihr gut disponiert seid.

Und da ihr Gott empfangt
in dieser heiligen Speise,
Seele, wird es gut sein, zu bedenken,
wer Gott ist und wer ihr seid.

Before you eat god
