Edition notes: New edition with title page, libretto (Latin and German), and facsimiles of the part books on pp. 22-24 — In the pitch of the printing 1568 (chiavette with high clefs), basing on the edition of A. Stenberg (CPDL #20495) — Slight differences in the setting of the text — Corrections to CPDL #20495: Altus: Treble clef (not octave treble clef) — No replenishment at the end of Prima, Secunda, Tertia, and Quarta Pars (because the altus part is shorter than the discantus, tenor, and bassus part) — Tenor [1]: Quarta pars, bar 31: the crotchet is "f" not "d".
Edition notes: A diplomatorian first draft edition of the motet. Only the PDF is posted now as the LilyPond sources (several files) and the midi files need some work to be combined in publishable form.

Latin text
Parts of the 119th Psalm. (Lyrics of Cantus and Tenor parts)
35 Deduc me in semitam mandatorum tuorum, quia ipsam volui.
37 Averte oculos meos, ne videant vanitatem; in via tua vivifica me.
171 Eructabunt labia mea hymnum, cum docueris me justificationes tuas.
175 Vivet anima mea, et laudabit te, et judicia tua adjuvabunt me.
Lyrics of Altus part:
Vivat, vivat, vivat, vivat Ioannes Frederich: Elector & dux Saxorum:
Defensor veri dogmatis: pacisque custos pervigil:
Vivat per omne seculum.
1 Glücklich die Rechtschaffenen auf dem Weg.
Sie wandeln im Gesetz des Herrn.
2 Glücklich, die seine Zeugnisse erforschen;
12 Gepriesen bist du, Herr; lehre mich deine Rechtssatzungen.
Es lebe Johann Friedrich, Kurfürst und Herzog der Sachsen;
Lebe, Luther; lebe, Melanchthon!
Amen.
