General information

Description: A book of sacred songs for 3 up to 8 voices by diverse German authors of the late Renaissance and Early Baroque, for the use in schools. First part, containing festive songs.

Full title: Cantionale Sacrum, Das ist, Geistliche Lieder, von Christlichen und Trostreichen Texten, Mit 3. 4. 5. oder mehr Stimmen unterschiedlicher Autorum : Für die Fürstliche Land- und andere Schulen im Fürstenthumb Gotha, Auff gnädige Fürstl. Verordnung in dieses bequeme Format zusammen gebracht, Und gedruckt zu Gotha im Jahr 1646. Durch Johan Michael Schalln; Erster Theil, Welcher in sich begreifet Fest-Gesänge.
