Description: First published in Music in Miniature, 1779, without words. Considerably revised in 1787 in a eight-page separate, bound with copies of The Suffolk Harmony. The portion before the fugue was reprinted in 1806, transposed up a half step (to F#m), no accidental in m. 8 Tenor, and altered words; it is uncertain whether this revision is by Billings. Words by an unknown author (see Stratford (Daniel Read)).
