Description: Source: Gardano, Flos Florum Primus Liber cum 4 vocibus, 1545. According to Wikipedia, this work was widely known and was responsible for the composer's reputation as a 'one-hit wonder'. However, in this editor's opinion, although 'Descendit angelus' is attractive enough, Penet's Virgo prudentissima is the finer work.
