Egrediétur vírga de radíce Iésse
et flos de radíce éius ascéndet.
Et requiéscet súper éum Spíritus Dómini:
spíritus sapiéntiae et intelléctus,
spíritus consílii et fortitúdinis.
English translation
A shoot shall come out of the stump of Jesse,
and a branch shall grow out of his roots.
The spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him,
the spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the spirit of counsel and might,
the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
