Five Anthems and Four Hymns was Joseph Key's fourth and last published book of psalmody. It is not dated, but the Hymn Tune Index suggests it was published c1790, noting that Key's three earlier books, but not this one, are advertised in the first edition of Thomas Williams' Psalmodia Evangelica of 1789.

Publication date and place: 1790 by Henry Thompsons in London.

The title page describes the collection as Five Anthems / and / FOUR HYMNS / on / General & Particular Occasions; / Ten Psalm Tunes / Seven Carols &c. / Composed by the Late Mr Joseph Key. / Book IV / Price 6s / London / Printed for Henry Thompsons, No 75 St Paul’s Church Yard. Key's third book, Five Anthems, Four Collects, Twenty Psalm Tunes, was an earlier posthumous publication, being advertised in the Leicester Journal of 10 December 1785 by his widow Elizabeth.
