Born: 1989

Biography

Frances Matthews is a British-Hungarian composer. She was BBC Young Composer of the Year aged 14, joint principal composer of the National Youth Orchestra, received a First in Music from Cambridge and has had her pieces performed in major concert halls across the UK and China by artists including the Britten Sinfonietta. Beyond Music, Frances is committed to building up local churches, the environment (she has a Masters in Environmental Change and Management from Oxford) and the #MeToo movement.
