Genuit puerpera Regem
quem laudant angeli, throni et dominationes.

Christe Redemptor omnium
ex Patre Patris unicae
solus ante principium
natus ineffabiliter.

Tu lumen, tu splendor Patris
tu spes perennis omnium,
intende quas fundunt preces
tui per orbem famuli.

The Mother brought forth the King,
whom the Angels, Thrones and Dominions praise.

Christ, the redeemer of all,
the Father’s only son,
born before the beginning [of the world],
in a manner indescribable.

You light, you lustre of the Father,
you lasting hope of all people,
hear the prayers which your servants
pour out around the world.
