add copyright attestation to score submission guide?

Can we add an attestation to the form that the score does not violate the copyright or other rights of any third parties?

Reply by: Vaarky 05:50, 27 May 2009 (UTC)  Help  I would not include the word knowingly, since that changes in a potentially meaningful way the wording our attorney suggested. Let's keep it consistent with the wording on the Upload File page. If you feel strongly that users would be inhibited if the word knowingly wasn't there, let me know and I'll ask our attorney.

Reply by: Chucktalk Giffen♫ 13:50, 27 May 2009 (UTC)  Help  I just feel that, without knowingly added, this is putting a "lawyerly" onus on contributors that they might not feel comfortable with, thereby discouraging them from making any contributions that require them to research and to seek legal advice. On the other hand, if our legal counsel strongly advises against including the extra word, then I'm okay with it.
